CAUSA was born from starting over — mine included.
I arrived in Melbourne not speaking the language, not knowing anyone, desperately needing to connect. Before that, I’d worked alongside migrants and refugees rebuilding their lives in new places. When I moved here, I understood those stories from the inside.
That’s where CAUSA came from. Not from a curriculum. From that need.
It’s a warm space — tender. Where real Spanish means the expressions, the humour, the stories, the struggles, the way Latin Americans see the world. All of it.
I make art too — because it’s another way I connect.
Everything here — the classes, the workshops, the events, the conversations — exists for one reason.
